English subtitles for German movies - REQUESTED BADLY!!!!

Hello All!!!

I wonder why there's almost absolutely NO subtitles for german movies available in the net?!?!
For example, I'm DESPERATELY looking for english or polish subtitles for this movies:
- Die Apothekerin (The Pharmacist)
- Sonnenallee
- Bandits (1997) mit Katja Riemann
- Wir kinder vom Bahnhoff Zoo
- Nackt (by Doris Dorrie)

(...)
- and many many more good German movies.... ;-)

I will offer you everything I can for ripping those subtitles!!!! And the whole net community will be very very grateful!!!!!!!

oh, not so many do people seem to like german movies...that's why most german movies (except a few moneymakers like "run lola run" and "the experiment") dont have any english subs.

but i am sure that our admin (tha_wizard) will try to get your requested subs. if there are any, then we will try to find them and give them to you.
and: no! you dont need to give us everything you've got. a "thanks" would be more then enough!

I am really deeply touched - in positive meaning of course! - by your post! That's very kind of you!
I much more appreciate european cinema than mostly shitty US productions. Each year there is a festiwal of Youth German Cinema in Warschau - very interesting event. And this is almost only occasion to be a little bit aware of what is going on in German cinema. This is where I saw Sonnenallee, btw :)

Also, subtitles for collection of movies with Klaus Kinsky or Werner Herzog's are rather impossible to find... :-(

So, so far ;-) , I say Thanks In Advance for any effort to give internet community chances to watch German movies!!! :-)

Well, what should I think about EU? Do u know Switzerland? I'm just sitting in it ... It's this funny, little isle in the middle of this big EU-pacific and I don't feel any expanding or integration in EU at all.

I mentioned 'New European' by reason of the remark of Mister Rumsfeld that Germany and France are Old Europe and Poland is more modern in the question about the war.

Another "neutral" country in Europe is Norway... However IMHO it's EU who wants get into this country than Norway who wants to join EU ;-)

A lot of clever and stupid words have been said beacause of war... We remeber especially those said by Monsieur le president Jaques Chirac that Poland has lost her chance to sit calm (!). However, it's good to be aware that the idea of Poland lively supporting US war ideas are not so much popular among ordinary Poles; it's rather government's voice.

Thanks for congratulations! :-) Time for fiesta in Poland :) However it's funny to look at main Polish politicians who - as the poll result is positive - start over barking at each others... In my opinion in short term the most visible effect of this poll will be in Polish political life - I presume a lot of personal changes gonna happen...

In fact, I slightly changed the main topic ) But I hope the moderator will forgive me this little "hot reflection" :)
